Good Fashion Fund featured in Just Transition case study series
Published: May 28, 2026
The Good Fashion Fund (GFF) has been selected as the opening feature in a new case study series exploring a just transition in India’s fashion sector.
Over the past year, the Impact Investing Institute and the Impact Investors Council (IIC) led the programme “Unlocking Investor Action for a Just Transition in India’s Fashion Sector,” examining the opportunities, challenges, and enabling conditions for mobilising greater investor action across the fashion value chain. The programme engaged investors, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders from production and manufacturing through to textile waste management and recycling.
The two organisations recently launched a learning report capturing key insights from these discussions, accompanied by a series of case studies on organisations whose experiences offer valuable lessons for investors and stakeholders across the value chain, beginning with GFF.
GFF is a blended private credit vehicle that provides long-term financing to textile and apparel manufacturers investing in cleaner production across India and Bangladesh. The case study explores the fund’s structure, its approach to deploying capital in an underserved segment of the market, and the insights emerging from its investment experience. Alongside factual detail on the fund, it captures perspectives from the GFF team on financing cleaner production in textile manufacturing, offering a closer view of the opportunities, challenges, and practical realities of supporting the sector’s transition through investment.
