Strengthening Coffee Communities, Advancing Farmer Resilience

ODF has provided financing to Impacto Transformador (modelo Sinapsis), a producer-centered coffee aggregator in Chiapas, Mexico that supports smallholder farmers through fair pricing, technical assistance, and certification-aligned practices.

Impacto Transformador (modelo Sinapsis) was created to shift bargaining power away from local intermediaries and toward producers, offering farmers a fairer market alternative while strengthening long-term resilience across the coffee value chain.

Here’s the impact Impacto Transformador is delivering:

Farmer-Centred Market Access
Impacto Transformador supports smallholder farmers by offering transparent, premium-linked pricing and reducing reliance on historically low-price local intermediaries.

Technical Assistance & Cooperative Strengthening
Through the modelo Sinapsis network, Impacto Transformador provides support in productivity, climate adaptation, soil regeneration, quality improvement, gender inclusion, and cooperative governance.

Certification-Based Impact Standards
Impacto Transformador and its processing plant are Fairtrade, USDA Organic, and EU Organic certified, with practices anchored in certification requirements around labour, governance, premium transparency, and environmental standards.

ODF is pleased to support organizations like Impacto that combine responsible sourcing with farmer empowerment, inclusive growth, and practical improvements across rural value chains.
